On Deployment 3 to eastern Kentucky following historic and deadly flooding, the Disaster Task Force came across 2 dogs that were clearly traumatized by the natural disaster. It was at that moment that the team in Kentucky and the Deployment Operations Center staff decided we had to do something to help pets impacted by natural disasters.

Since that moment in eastern Kentucky, our Disaster Task Force has delivered tons of cat food and dog food to animal rescue organizations, no-kill animal shelters and individuals across the country. Supplies used for Cares for Pets program are purchased by donors from our Amazon Wish List.
