
The Disaster Task Force has entered pre-deployment mode in preparation for a possible Pre-Deployment 4/43 in advance of a significant multi-day severe weather threat develops across portions of the Upper Plains and Upper Midwest. Current forecasts indicate the potential for severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes across areas expected to see the greatest impacts during the middle of the week - Tuesday through Thursday.
As part of the pre-deployment process, team members are actively monitoring forecasts, and making preparations to assess potential impact areas, and evaluating response options should communities require assistance.
While no deployment decisions have been finalized, preparations are underway to ensure the Disaster Task Force can respond quickly if conditions warrant. As always, the mission remains focused on identifying needs, supporting communities, and showing up where help is needed most.
